The Pocono Mountain Regional Police criminal investigations division is lead by Lieutenant Chris Wagner. Detective/Sergeant Kenneth Lenning oversees the day-to-day operations of the unit and has six (6) case Detectives. These criminal investigators have received training in death and homicide investigations, Rape and sexual assault investigations, interview and interrogation, statement analysis, electronic surveillance, latent print examination, accident reconstruction, narcotics enforcement and various other topics that assist investigators with case resolution.

Detectives are responsible for resolving homicide and assigned felony criminal complaints, arresting suspects, and assisting the Monroe County District Attorney's Office with successful prosecution of these cases. Investigators also participate in drug task force operations, anti-crime operations and surveillance details through the use of plain clothes and undercover vehicle deployment.
The Pocono Mountain Regional Police investigations unit was responsible for the first Amber Alert in Pennsylvania which assisted in the successful apprehension and prosecution of a first degree homicide case in 2003. |
